Nick Cooper  is currently Fairhope Soccer Club Director of Coaching. Nick continues to be Co-Director of the Gulf Coast Rangers and had a successful year with his U15 Girls team winning DII State Cup. Nick has been a very loyal coach to our club for many years now. He's originally from Guildford, England.

Jamie Ferguson is currently our Director of Youth and Parent Education. He oversees our Fairhope Tots/Fairhope Fives programs. Both of these programs encourage the parent along with the young soccer player to develop the love of the game of soccer at an early age. Jamie has been part of this ever-changing club since the beginning. He will now share his wealth of soccer experience & education to assist our Fairhope Soccer League volunteer coaches through clinics & skills sessions through out the season.  Jamie resides in Daphne with wife Christin and sons Ty (plays with Gulf Coach Rangers) and Luke ( plays with Fairhope Academy)

PLAYING HISTORY: Four years with Newcastle school boys; One year with Dundee; Two years with the Great Britain Academy (now known as Durham Academy); Two seasons with Whitby Town in the English Conference; Two years with Morpeth Town

  • Played in 29 F.A. Cup matches

  • Attended University of Mobile for three years; named All Region three years; two-time first team All-American; won the 2002 National Championship and voted MVP Defensive Player of the Tournament; two-time All Tournament Team

  • Played for Des Moines Menace in their undefeated 2002 season, reaching the quarter final of the US Open Cup

  • Played for Michigan Edge and co-directed the youth academy

Josh Montgomery oversees our FSL Footies Program which started Spring 2016.  Josh has stepped down from his coaching duties at Bayside Academy Head Girls Coach so he can more time in developing youth soccer players. 

PLAYING HISTORY: Former Club player with Capitol City Streaks of Montgomery, Vestavia Steamers Soccer Club, Participant in Alabama Olympic Development Program Collegiate: 4 year letterman at Kenyon College, served as Captain in 2002 International Experience: As a youth, represented Alabama in Trinidad and Tobago, competing against U-17 and U-19 National Teams ,Also competed in Regional College Showcase against German U-18 National Team, PDL Experience in Wyoming and Jackson, MS 2002-2004  High School: Attended the Montgomery Academy, Former Single Season Assist leader for AHSAA 1998, Represented South All-Stars in Inaugural AHSAA All-Star Soccer Game in 1998, All-State player in 1997-1998    

COACHING HISTORY: High School: Former Head of Boys and Girls Programs at Madison-Ridgeland Academy in Madison, MS.  In five seasons, Boys reached Quarterfinals twice, Girls reached quarterfinals 4 times and the Final Four twice, Twice selected to coach the MPSA South All-Star team Club / Competitive Coaching History: Former Member of Chicago Fire Juniors of Mississippi Staff, Mississippi United Soccer Club. Served on inaugural staff of Chicago Fire Juniors of Mississippi, integral in development of weekly technical sessions for recreational and club players at SMCSO and Mississippi Fire, served as staff member of MS Fire '94 Boys in their victory at 2006 San Sebastian (Spain) International Tournament, Served on staff of of Blast FC Staff and MBFC, Helped to implement Technical Night for Blast Academy players Spring 2014, 5 years experience with MS and AL ODP Programs
