Nick Cooper  is currently Fairhope Soccer Club Director of Coaching. Nick continues to be Co-Director of the Gulf Coast Rangers and had a successful year with his U15 Girls team winning DII State Cup. Nick has been a very loyal coach to our club for many years now. He's originally from Guildford, England.

Fairhope Soccer Club Footies/Development Director

Josh Montgomery oversees our FSL Footies Program which started Spring 2016.  The Footies program is an advanced training environment for recreational players who seek a more competitive training level at the U7 and U8 Age groups.  Our Footies program also acts as a talent identification structure by which players are recommended to seek evaluation at the Academy level and beyond.  Josh is also the Head of Upper School at Bayside Academy.  He was the Head of the Women's soccer program at Bayside for 8 years before moving into his new role.

PLAYING HISTORY: Former Club player with Capitol City Streaks of Montgomery, Vestavia Steamers Soccer Club, Participant in Alabama Olympic Development Program, 4 year letterman and Captain at Kenyon College, International Experience as a youth in Trinidad and Tobago and against German U-18 National Team, PDL Experience in Wyoming and Jackson, MS 2002-2004  All-State high School player at The Montgomery Academy, former Single Season Assist leader for AHSAA, Represented South All-Stars in Inaugural AHSAA All-Star Soccer Game in 1998

Jamie Ferguson is currently our Director of  Early Youth Prrogams.  He is Head Coach of  Fairhope Tots/Fairhope Fives.  Both of these programs encourage the parent along with the young soccer player to develop the love of the game of soccer at an early age. Jamie has been part of this ever-changing club since the beginning. He will now share his wealth of soccer experience & education to assist our Fairhope Soccer League volunteer coaches through clinics & skills sessions through out the season.  

COACHING HISTORY: High School Coach of the Year 2016, Current ODP Staff 2016, Academy/FSL Director of Coaching 2014-2015,Director of Coaching for Mobile Bay FC since 2004-2014, Alabama ODP coach, Region III ODP staff 2004-2008, Head Coach at Bayside Academy since 2005-current, Coaching Staff AHSAA All-Stars South 2015

PLAYING HISTORY: Four years with Newcastle school boys; One year with Dundee; Two years with the Great Britain Academy (now known as Durham Academy); Two seasons with Whitby Town in the English Conference; Two years with Morpeth Town

  • Played in 29 F.A. Cup matches

  • Attended University of Mobile for three years; named All Region three years; two-time first team All-American; won the 2002 National Championship and voted MVP Defensive Player of the Tournament; two-time All Tournament Team

  • Played for Des Moines Menace in their undefeated 2002 season, reaching the quarter final of the US Open Cup

  • Played for Michigan Edge and co-directed the youth academy
